Also it almost seems like there were approved options to properly install certain types of generators, but this family ignored them and went in another direction. For a storm like this unless it was running right next to a neighbor’s window it should have been ignored this one time if they didn’t know, and they should have been told to install the approved ones like everyone else living there has to do or be out of luck in the future. Usually the biggest victims of HOAs are the ones purposely ignoring what they contractually agreed to follow when purchasing.

They drove and got the generator after the storm and after the power was out.

Do they have a list of approved ones? Because if they don’t then this is just fluff instead of recognizing they are a-hole.
