I doubt it as well. They just think they look cool & edgy by trying to be internet hard asses.

ok, I agree with you about this whole situation, its gross negligence. AS LE member myself I'm appalled by it. I get them putting him in an observation room, but after a 1 day the man acting in that manner someone has to step in and do something.

I don't see this as the same. To use this analogy you would have to believe the jail staff intentionally didn't give him the meds wanting to kill him.
But in your view that doesn't matter right? He was a drug user, and you don't want your tax money going to his medical needs. So what if he dies or not? It's his fault he's in there to begin with.

He probably would have insisted on providing his own guillotine, to save the dept the cost of a bullet.

That is a horrible way to go. I think I would rather be burned to death than agonize through heroin and benzo withdrawal. It drives many people to suicide. If he had killed himself out of sight of the guards I wouldn't put as much blame on on the prison but to watch someone suffer like that for weeks is downright evil.

Yeh well I just had a 34 yr old cousin die Tues night IN ALASKA and the circumstances surrounding her death may have been drugs or an overdose

Their tax money is about to be multiplied exponentially and given to his family now. Good way to save some cash. Well thought out plan.

You ever heard of a lien?

Call them criminals. Someone who commits a crime, by definition, is a criminal. If their crime calls for jail time, put them in jail. But once in jail, don't neglect them and allow them to die. This is not 13th century Europe where people who can't pay their taxes are thrown in the dungeon and left to starve.

Should have paid His instead of using it on drugs. Right folks?

So frick her, she deserved to die, right? Maybe even hope she burns in hell while you're at it? World is better now that she's dead I suppose? Did you call your aunt and uncle and congratulate them on being able to bury their junkie daughter and not have to deal with her any longer? At the very least you should tell them how glad you are she's dead.

You obviously come from a trash family who abuses drugs. We should throw you all in jail to starve so we can keep your family from further burdening society.

Do you believe that drinking and/or using drugs should be a death sentence?
