These are the kinds of incidents that lead me to the belief that another civil war is in our future.

We just need a purge. I have never seen the movies but I think the idea has merit.

Well frick man, you don’t expect the mom to actually take personal responsibility herself for raising a shite head kid, do you? What kind of person are you? How cruel.

Police need to stop arresting black people just because they're doing something illegal. Their lives are at stake!

Baton Rouge has taken the lead on this and it frees up many man hours for police to set up roadblocks in white parts of town. Those white no seatbelt criminals can’t get away with it anymore!

At their age, I wanted money just like they did. So I went out and found a summer job. I mowed yards, worked at a gas station and got a gig dropping off deliveries for a local store. All at the same time. These guys just decide to go burglarize a house. Something is wrong with the way they were raised if that seems a viable option to them.

Really sad that burglarizing a home is something "kids just do".

That "traffic stop" turned into a felony real quick

Next thing you will hear is

" Burglary, driving a stolen jeep, and fleeing an officer do not warrant a death penalty. Why did she pull her gun on a kid?"

I'm sure he would've just stopped what he was doing if she had simply asked, "Excuse me, sir. Hi there, could you please just let me know what you silly rascals are up to today? Hope you're not committing any crimes! LOL"

The BR mayor (whom I'm guessing is very similar in many ways to the Baltimore mayor) would add that protocol dictate the police officer holster their weapon and hug the potential victim (or as we call them, the perpetrator of the crime) while assessing the situation.

I have no doubt that many people’s fight or flight instincts kick in when confronted by police. However, this isn’t an excuse for killing a cop when you are caught in the act of committing a crime.

They want the self-defense doctrine to apply in cases where the suspect is fleeing police during the commission of a crime.

FORWARD!

It's an easy system. They even tell us specifically what will land us in jail. Some scholars call these things "laws."

Laws are simply mechanisms created by cis het white males to oppress women and peoples of color. Period.

Unreal. How about " I'm sorry my child decided to make a horrible decision and now two families lives are ruined by my child's stupid decision ".

Allowing this false narrative to continue is dangerous for society. Time for public shaming.

There are just some people that shouldn't be walking the earth. The US needs a good war or purge.

A lot of inner city kids grow up being told that no one will give them a job because of racism. There is a pervasive defeatist attitude that perpetuates and leads to the idea that you have to do whatever it takes to get yours. Thus, alternative methods of making money prevail.
