Some may remember the thread I started earlier this week about the teens accused of killing the officer Link to thread
One teen drops 3 others off to do a burglary. officer arrives after receiving a tip, tried to stop the driver who then uses his stolen vehicle to run her over and kill her.

I predicted, jokingly, that the family would respond like this
quote:

At the rate these black youths are gunned down by police, the driver was just scared for his life and reacted. She shouldn't have pulled her gun on him and obstructed his escape.

And as reliable as the sun rises and sets, the murderous teen put out a release with help of their attorney

Attorneys say Baltimore County officer showed 'aggression,' accused teen was in 'survival mode'

quote:

Caprio, 29, had responded to a report of a suspcious vehicle and people walking around homes on Linwen Way, according to charging documents. She came upon Harris, who was waiting in the Jeep while three other boys burglarized a home, police said. Caprio pursued Harris as he drove to the end of the cul-de-sac, police said, and Caprio then got out of her patrol car, drew her gun and ordered Harris out.

quote:

Gordon said he wants to know why Caprio demonstrated “aggression” toward Harris and why she drew her weapon during what “amounted to a traffic stop.” Gordon said his client couldn’t see where he was going when he ducked as Caprio fired her gun, and he hit the gas.

Really need to read the article to appreciate the stupidity of these people. The mom places blame on the system because her son had been in trouble before and no one stopped him. Lawyers blame cop, society, etc.

So the kid is committing a crime, a cop shows up to stop him, kid kills cop, and it’s the cops fault?

I really hope common sense prevails and the cops family gets justice.

I'm sure he would've just stopped what he was doing if she had simply asked, "Excuse me, sir. Hi there, could you please just let me know what you silly rascals are up to today? Hope you're not committing any crimes! LOL"

Unfortunately it seems a lot of people on this site think that's exactly how officers should respond to calls.

I'd put money on it that the kid/family will sue the city for mental anguish or some other dumb shite and WIN

Wait. You think the officer was correct or you think she was too aggressive?

Not sure if you responding to what he quoted or what he commented.

The family should be beaten in front of the teen then they should kill the teen.

"aggression" would have been if she shot him in the face...which in hindsight, she should have.but then that would have been another "cop shoots innocent black person" bullshite fiasco

Police need to stop arresting black people just because they're doing something illegal. Their lives are at stake!

Whoopsie. Can I get a mulligan on that one?

This is a sad story and it goes to show that it’s rather hard for a bullet from most handguns to penetrate a car windshield

All police should be carrying ar 15s at the minimum

Nah, your son failed the system.

It's an easy system. They even tell us specifically what will land us in jail. Some scholars call these things "laws."
