I talk to myself in my place. I am younger and live alone so it leads to that. Maybe something is wrong with that, but I do not care. I'll sing to myself. Chant to myself. Crack jokes to myself. If I'm mad at someone and think it will be an argument later, I'll pretend I'm in an argument and present my side of the case, then envision what they say in response. Do a whole barrage of things to keep myself entertained. You shouldn't care what anyone else thinks of it. I don't do this when others are around though because I can talk to someone in that case. Just do it when I'm by myself.

My opinion is to start them on a slow regimen. 20 MG Lexapro per day. Just love on him and see if he can flatten out. Don't give up.

Talk constantly to myself, both verbal and nonverbal. Tell anyone who’s around that sometimes I just need to get an expert opinion.

I told my psychiatrist that I was hearing voices, he told me that I don't have a psychiatrist.

I've had more conversations with myself than other people. But then again I'm not really a people person, so there's that.

Your relative is likely suffering drom a dissociative disorder. That usually comes from trauma.
Do them a favor and don't let their quirks bother you. Realize it is their subconscious which has gotten "leaky" due to the mentalndamage they suffered. Be patient.

I'm pretty attention deficit and find talking out what I am doing or what I'm about to do keeps me focused. Sometimes people judge me for doing it. idc

Mom talks to herself as a way of sorting things out. For just under 60 years she never made a decision without discussing it with Dad.
Drives me nuts though trying to figure out what she is rambling on about, especially when she is looking in my direction.

Is he hurting anyone? Doesn't sound like it.
There is no need to interject yourself everytime you run across something unusual. You are not the main character and it is not up to you to problem solve when it is unnecesary.

When I need expert/genius advice, there’s only one voice I trust, and definitely not going to a doctor after the whole Covid debacle, except for one…I’ll let you figure that out…

I talk to myself all the time.
Sometimes to work out problems I’m trying to figure out in my head
Other times to keep reminding myself of something until I can write it down
Sometimes I argue with myself but hey I never win nor lose an argument
And lastly to keep the demons at bay and in my head so they won’t be released lol j/k or am I

I can't hardly work without talking to myself if I am alone. It may seem weird but I get a lot of crap done.

I would contact Father Lankester Merrin. I believe he is on an archeological dig in Iraq this month.

Everyone talks to themself…we just don’t verbalize it because others will think you are crazy!
