Yeah, good question. Looks like the rack was on wheels. not sure was working it like a dolly.

I don't think he fell into water. I think he just hit a tree well and fell into the loose/absent snow around a tree. But that can easily kill someone if they get stuck, especially upside down. It's one of my biggest fears when skiing.
