Big difference between a photo and a Video 3D Selfie of your face and profiles.

I spent years carefully guarding my PERSEC info. Then the lovely Office of Personnel Management lost my entire security clearance file to the Chinese in a hack and now it’s all over the place.
Literally every detail of my life from birth until the hack. Fingerprints, photos, ID numbers, name of my fricking elementary school home room teacher. All my family and all their addresses.
Best part is they promised me “lifetime” credit monitoring and protection. Which I had to use three different times after ID theft. Then a couple of months back they emailed and said they aren’t paying for that anymore as it’s been long enough. frick them.
Rant off. Point being that these days it’s all out there. Best you can do is avoid the really obvious scam callers and emails. It’s impossible to keep your info secure.

Be fb doesn’t care who is real. People have reported stolen profiles and fb says so what. Odd to be asked for video selfie. That would be stolen next somehow.

Twitter had me do some weird hand gestures to prove I was real.
I think bots and AI scraping is rampant and all these platforms are getting drowned in artificial traffic.

I have an iPhone and I have never done the Face ID on anything. I’m sure they have it regardless.

I think so too. More and more sites I visit have human verification to access. Guess to prevent AI scraping.

I recently made a new Facebook profile, to keep up with family, and it required me to either do this video OR submit a front and back photo of my license. So yes, I chose the video selfie. I figured if you post videos anyway or get posted in a video they can get a pretty close approximation.
I'm not sure if this was only a requirement because I previously had an account that I got locked out of, but it definitely wasn't totally optional

I used it exclusively for free advertising... Now it's just a bunch of us old people on there... I guess the youngins use instagrams.
