I can’t believe in that moment the thought is “I need get my phone out”.

What type, Pectus?

He also had a phone in his hand he could have thrown!

Maybe put the phone down and start throwing some of those rocks.

i am with you on the "put the phone down" but they say not to lean over or bend down, which makes you look smaller because it will induce an attack.

i guess if the cat is already all up in your face, all bets are off. there were some huge rocks he could have pelted that cat with.

You guys think throwing a rock will hurt a cougar?

That’s just a good way to piss him off.

Used to hear em every once in a while growing up in the woods behind us. Their screams sound like a woman being murdered. Eff that.

Was out camping 3 weeks ago, and it’s really not the cougars you should be concerned about but the moose. Was camping on a bachelor party a few weeks back and right as the sun is setting, 3 massive bull moose come onto our campsite. I was wondering when we got there why there were this big fences lining the road and I guess we know now. So we get on other side of the fence. Half the bachelor party we went to college, while the other half were a bunch of rednecks who didn’t know the danger that we were in. One was just “it’s an oversized deer” and didn’t see why they were that dangerous. And then another one of his friends wouldn’t shut the frick and was loud as all shite and I wanted to strangle him. Finally as the sun was finally set, one of them thought it’d be a good idea to shine a light on them to know where they were, which was retarded of course. After about 2 and 1/2 hours the rednecks got sick of waiting and went looking for em. They were about 20 yards out from the campsite, and then just finished our meals in peace. I slept in my car that night and refused the tent. Almost blew away that night.

We all know those college boys know more about the woods than rednecks

Happened in Provo. I thought that guy sounded familiar. He’s been trying to sell me Vivint for 4 years now.

These boys have barely left Mississippi, dude. 3 of us regularly camped in the mountains and knew roughly what to do if a moose came on the campsite. Talking loudly and shining a spotlight on a moose is pretty much the worst idea ever.

I’m picking up a few of those rocks, channeling my inner Ben McDonald, and forcing that cat into making a business decision.

Yeah. Any aggressive behavior and that cat would have had him by the neck. All you can do is get away from those babies.

Why didn't he pick up a good sized rock?

Not for throwing but for bashing that cats skull in.

I think that's what finally scared it off at the end was him tossing a rock at it.
