Yes, the plane isn’t flying anymore.

Are we still building F-16s? Glad the pilot is safe, but I love that plane.

My sauces tell me it was an F-16 that went down in Beauregard parish. The pilot ejected.

Wonder if he was going drop ordinance on the range at Fort Polk. Lots of MOA’s around that area too.

Beauregard Parish, LA (KPLC) - A pilot was able to eject before their F-16 fighter jet crashed in Beauregard Parish Wednesday morning, authorities said.
Derek Senegal, with Louisiana State Police Troop D, said the pilot is believed to be ok.
The crash happened near Bertrand Road.
Senegal said he did not have information on where the flight began or was headed.
Beauregard Sheriff Mark Herford also confirmed that law enforcement is responding to a downed aircraft.
KPLC has a reporter headed to the area and will have more information as it becomes available.
Bretrand Rd isn't a very populated area.

The crash happened around 11:15 a.m. near Bertrand Road, but is 2 to 3 miles in the woods off the road.
Looks like it crashed in a forest. Lot of timber land in that area

Did not want Navy to get all the glory
The F16 was designed in the 1970s, that is just staggering.

Funniest response I ever heard in a press conference.
Reporter asked a military spokesperson what was the "last known altitude of the downed plane?" Spokesperson: "Zero feet above ground level."

More than likely flying out of Barksdale. See them all the time getting time in around here.

Plane was probably jacked at a red light in NO.
