"Every ship that we bring in and out of Baton Rouge is a lot more expensive than the Houston Ship Channel, which is a lot closer to open water. These create structural disadvantages in Louisiana," said Gloria Moncada, the ExxonMobil Baton Rouge Refinery manager. “The project that we’re trying to bring forward is helping to level out that disadvantage to make sure our refinery stays competitive in the Gulf Coast.”
This screams Covent 2.0

My brother is an XOM engineer involved in the new Corpus Christi project.

The business expects to hire about 20 north Baton Rouge residents through its free training program through 2023 in conjunction with the upgrades.
And then those new N.Baton Rouge employees will vote for city council people, legislators and governors who go after business and chase them out of the state, at which time they will be jobless again. Bravo.

Wow! That was the best backdrop? And why isn’t her hard hat on, obviously not promoting a positive safety culture.

So much positivity on this board
You must not live here.
We’re positive the city and state are run by liberal, government loving, business hating incompetents who could frick up an anvil with a sponge.
But hey, we’re positive about it.

I believe most of the oil that is processed in Texas refineries arrives via pipeline from west Texas or Canada.

Way more than BR or any Louisiana ran city deserves but rest assured that personal injury attorneys and crooked Louisiana politicians will find a way to frick it up.

240MM doesn’t do a whole lot these days. If shipping is an issue, we talking pipelines and some debottlenecks?
