Nope - extended warranties don’t cover wearable items (brakes, tires, shocks etc.) unless it is specifically stated.

How many miles? The parts could be covered to a certain amount. If breaking down before manufacturer spec they could be faulty

how many speed bumps is she crossing? Were the shocks cheap? Should get 2x that many miles.

I am, should have used the more accurate term of heading to the outlets, etc....

As mentioned above, shocks are usually not considered an extended warranty covered item. The only time I was able to get warranty out of shocks was directly from the shock manufacturer on a non-oem, lifetime shock and that was a pain.

Sounds like the shocks are getting some extra work on these trips your wife takes.

Don’t bother knocking if that 4 runner a rocking

Replaced the shocks on our suburban at 51K miles under extended warranty. Wife’s car, she doesn’t ease over speed bumps or curbs.

Tokiko shocks should not fail that quickly.

I'd request they send pictures to the manufacturer for warranty.

Was this the factory manufacturer, ie ToyotaCare, extended warranty?

Or do you have what is called an 'after-market' type warranty?

Big difference.

I tell folks all the time that the after-market warranties are garbage and should be avoided.

I think there ToyotaCare offers 3 or four levels of extended coverage for their vehicles.

So check which type extended warranty you have and contact your local Toyota dealer.

if you are going to buy an aftermarket make sure you buy it from a credit union. Those are as good and mfg. warranties
