Baltimore wasn't always a shite hole and those houses used to be well maintained and cared for.

In a certain city in Louisiana, I found that you could predict the time, in years, that a home had been left by loving owners and turned over to renters or folks who acquired it at a bargain price....by how much of the original shrubbery was left. Most trees and woody shrubs can't survive neglect and abuse, just like houses and children.
