Explosion at Valero Refinery in Meraux

I've got a few friends over there. They haven't released any information other than there was an explosion. Prayers no one was injured. I'll update OP as I find out more information.

Have a coworker that was in the facility when it happened a few units away. Says it was "very small and is contained".

I figured it was small. I know a few people who live less than a mile from the plant and they said they didn't hear or feel anything.
I'm assuming it was more of a flash fire than an explosion

Heat is fairly specific, could be an acute ignition source like a spark

Just heard about this. Heart sank because some of my teachers and classmates work there. Glad to see no one was injured. I'll probably get some details in class today. My troubleshooting teacher always breaks down what went wrong whenever there's a problem at any plant
