Experts: cough into your elbow --- Also experts: bump elbows instead of shaking hands

Isn't this counterproductive? Who washes their suit jackets every day? NOBODY! So when you get home from a day full of bumping elbows with others who have coughed into their elbow, you have germs all over your jacket sleeve. You hang it up for the evening, wake up the next morning, smell it to ensure it doesn't need a quick febreezing, and put it back on. In the process, you put those germs all over your hands.

The elbow bump is the most unnatural stupid way of greeting someone. I had my first “run in” with someone I know this morning and we both just said hey, a little head nod, and that was that.

It is absolutely necessary because you touch it, which is the key word. Skin to skin contact=touching something

bumping elbows brings you closer to the person by having to lean in..i'll just give knucks if I have to touch someone at all.

Cough into the elbow is bunk. The aerosolized droplets pass significantly above and below the elbow.
