Just put diapers immediately in a grocery bag, tie it off, and hang on outside of back door. Next time you go out, take bag to trash. Target bags are best bags out there.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen happened because we use to do this, but we would place ours on the front porch because we keep the can on the side of the garage.

We had place a blue bag out there on porch on a Saturday morning in November. All of a sudden I saw a shadow dart in front of the window, but never heard a knock. I waited a couple of seconds and went to investigate. As I open the door I see a kid running down the driveway towards a van. As he got to the van he reached into the bag, without looking and pull out a diaper to his surprise. He freaked out and started jumping in disgust to the rolling on the ground delight of his friends.

Last time we placed a bag on the porch during Scouting For Food weekend.

UPPA baby vista for stroller. On the fifth year and second child, it's an awesome stroller and doubles as a jogger. Can't say enough good things.

Peg Perego car seat. European safety standards are higher than US. It's an Italian car seat, highly rated. This is the most important item you will splurge on.

We liked our rock n play. I'm ashamed to say our 7 month old is still in it, but she's tiny so there's my justification.

Fisher price jumperoo. Best of all the ones we've fiddled with.

Don't skimp on diapers. Pampers sensitive.

Dr. Brown's bottles.

Mamas n Papas bumbo seat has been good to us.

Calaseptamine for diaper rashes, don't even bother with Desitin or Boudreaux's butt paste.

SwaddleMe Velcro swAddles for the baby who can break free of any swaddle.

Babywise. Read it, live it, love it. And buy the happiest baby on the block and watch it. Goes over the Five S's, it's good for first time parents who don't know how to make their screaming infant...stop screaming.

Good luck and enjoy!

This is better than dealing with the Diaper Genie Poop Sausage, but seems like a lot of work and a shitey back door.

We tossed poopoo diapers directly into a trash can. His shite doesn’t stink though, so there was no need for the extra bagging.

This book was a huge help navigating the very overwhelming world of baby products. I highly recommend it! LINK

Edit: products that were essential for surviving those first few months: Moms On Call book, woombie sleep sack, munchkin latch bottles, baby bum diaper brush, Nest camera, bottle warmer, our Baby Jogger City Mini GT stroller

I bought orbit baby car seats strollers, etc. Good stuff and I would get stopped on a weekly basis by grandparents, moms, etc. Wanting to know where u bought it. It is well built and versatile. A year ago they shut the business down as it was too high end, but you can still buy parts. It was like owning a Cadillac. It's perfect for football games, festivals, etc. The funny thing is that when my wife was a couple months pregnant, she dragged me to go stroller shopping. I could not give a rats azz at the time, but did it to be supportive. She was looking at all this cheap Chicco junk and that's when it hit me.....I'm going to be the douche pushing this thing around and loading/unloading it, cleaning it, etc. That's when I took over.

My point: spend good money on a stroller, car seat, and a 4moms rocker. You handle this every day and you want something that is easy and durable. If you don't, you will end up owning like five strollers to serve different applications.

Other brands are uppababy, 4 moms, peg Perego. All are good quality.

Peg Perego siesta is the high chair you want. The seat pad is easily removable and goes right in the wash.

Diaper dude - it's a diaper bag for guys. Perfect for when mom has a day out, and you want to take them out on the town.

Are you gonna drop this kid off in a daycare after mom’s paternity leave runs out.

I hope as a man you wouldn’t let that happen.

Best advice I could give is before the birth, go out and get a breast pump for your wife. Even if y'all aren't planning on breast feeding for very long. When her milk drops, the baby will not eat enough to relieve the pressure, it can be pretty painful. First baby I was at Wal Mart at 1:00 am buying one, my wife was in tears at home. Next baby we already had that thing on hand and it was a breeze.

My son HATED his mamaroo swing. Complete waste of money. We really appreciated our white noise machine

Totally agree. With my twins I bought two mamaroos. One was never used at all. Best to try cheap swings first - the fisher price rock n play is the standard. Swings/rockers are very personal connections, like finding the right pillow

Of all the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on baby shite, the best money was the $21 for the Con-Air noise machine I got on amazon. Our power went out recently in the middle of the night and both kids woke up without the noise machine.

Also frick that other advice about tying shite diapers in grocery bags. Spend a few bucks on an Ubbi diaper pail.

Angel Care monitors for peace of mind when the little guy/girl is sleeping. And some sort of diaper genie. They work, believe me.

Gotta love the OT. Don't marry a worthless woman without a career and ability to make money was the theme from the other day's MLM thread.

Then today flip the script--don't let that woman work, kids cannot go to daycare otherwise you're not a real man.
If a woman has a viable career, taking 5 years off work to have babies is usually not an option, regardless of the husband's ability to provide enough to let her stay home.

Diaper Genie is a waste. Just put diapers immediately in a grocery bag, tie it off, and hang on outside of back door. Next time you go out, take bag to trash. Target bags are best bags out there.

High chair is a waste also. Buy a seat that straps onto a chair. So much easier to clean and travels with you. A high chair takes up a lot of room.

Changing table is sort of a waste. After 6 months or so, child will usually be too big to use it. A bed/couch/floor will be used a lot. Get folding changing mats to lay down.

Cloth bibs are a waste because they have to be washed. Instead, the plastic/vinyl ones wipe off. Wipes or tissue is used to wipe mouth and hands.

Jogging stroller is a must. Their negatives are that they dont collapse as small and do not have as much storage. To counter act this, buy a backpack style diaper bag and hang from back of stroller. Buy cheap ankle weights and place on front area to counter act the stroller wanting to tip backwards.

Speaking of stroller, it will be a base camp for years to come. A bad one will send you home early and a good one will extend your outings, cookouts, festivals, etc. Comfort for parents is just as important as comfort for kids. Dont forget about battery fans, mosquito nets, and sun shades. They may seem overkill but they are must for me.

Also speaking of stroller, dont underestimate a good umbrella stroller for quick trips. 90% of them are not for OTers (meant for people under 5'6" tall). Wife and I are both over 6' and it took us a year to find one.

I give this post an A+. OP take all of this advice.

And ignore Piccalo. She's not wrong but who wants to hear that nagging shite amirite?
