Exceptions to the mask "requirement" in Davidson County (Nashville)

Haven't looked at the guidelines for other states, but it seems like just about anyone could fall under one of these exceptions if they choose to.
WKRN
So you can apparently just tell them you have a health conditions that prevents you from wearing a mask and they can't ask for proof.
I was in downtown Nashville and it was business as usual. Tons of people, bachelorette parties, tourists.. no masks.
Side note: There were still a few people "occupying" the capitol building. It was about 5-6 crunchy white people who I'm sure had no clue why they were there or what they were trying to protest.

quote:
Masks/face coverings must be worn when in indoor and outdoor public spaces but are not required in the following settings and circumstances:
By any child aged 12 years or younger. Any child younger than two years old must not wear a face covering because of risk of suffocation. Parents and caregivers must supervise the use of face masks by children to avoid misuse.
In outdoor public spaces unless maintaining a physical distance of six feet from persons who are not members of the same household or residence is not feasible;
While engaged in outdoor work or recreation, such as swimming, walking, hiking, bicycling, or running, unless maintaining a physical distance of six feet from persons who are not members of the same household or residence is not feasible;
By those who cannot medically tolerate wearing a face covering. No person declining to wear a face covering because of a medical condition shall be required to produce verifying medical documentation;
Within one’s own or another’s motor vehicle, provided the vehicle is not being used for public transportation or a vehicle for hire;
Within educational institutions, public and private K-12 schools, private colleges and universities, trade schools, post-secondary, and technical colleges, provided K-12 schools comply with the conditions in Nashville Plan: A Framework for a Safe, Efficient and Equitable Return to School
By those working alone in separate office spaces or in non-public workplaces that have more than adequate area for social distancing based on the size of and number of people in the space (either indoors or outdoors). Such persons must be prepared to wear a face covering when interacting with others in groups of 6 or more persons or in groups of any size where social distancing of more than six (6) feet cannot be consistently maintained;
When wearing a face covering poses a safety risk or security risk. “Safety risk” includes, but is not limited to, where wearing a face covering may pose a risk to persons working on ladders or at height, wearing other respiratory protection, engaging in heavy physical exertion, operating heavy equipment, or operating in an environment where a face covering hinders communications. “Security risk” includes, but is not limited to, an activity or transaction where establishing the identity of the customer or employee is important. However, employers are encouraged to structure work to promote social distancing and limit close contact as much as possible within workplaces where Face Coverings may pose such risks;
When eating or drinking in public at a restaurant, bar, or other food or beverage establishment;
While in a place of worship. Places of worship are strongly encouraged to follow the health guidelines in paragraph 3 of Governor Lee’s Executive Order No. 38, issued on May 22, 2020;
While in a building or indoor space owned, managed, or leased by the State of Tennessee or federal government.

Let's see how dedicated they are when it storms today.

The left can just keep their heads up their asses; that'll stop the spread

That’s not what HIPAA is.
It stops medical providers from sharing medical information without consent. Not grocery stores trying to stop the spread of a deadly disease

You people who think your bravery in refusing to wear a mask is akin to a badge of honor are ridiculous.
Just put the damn thing on. Stop politicizing a fricking 10sq inch of fabric. Wear it where it's required and take it off when you get outside.

Exactly. It's supposed to storm its arse off today.. will be interested to see if they stick around. It pissed me off because there were about 5 officers having to stand guard while these hippies sat around in lawn chairs. I'm quite sure the officers could be tending to more pressing matters.

Imagine being so cucked that you’d willingly wear a mask in public like a chinaman.

Did you miss the part where Nashville is “requiring” masks in outdoor public spaces?

Do as I say, not as I do.

HIPAA covers the disclosure of PHI.
Your medical conditions are PHI, and therefore not able to be disclosed to anyone without your consent.
So when you say you have a medical condition that precludes you from wearing a mask, you have no obligation to "prove it" under HIPAA and the business has no way of proving you do not have that condition.
Refusal of service at that point opens that business up to a gigantic shitstorm of liability.

We’re not.
The mask mandate is not backed by science and is nakedly politically.

*My version is more accurate.

frick you.
Went to visit my daughter and her family in texas this weekend. (My granddaughter's birthday).
Texas just went back to masks. All the stores had "required masks" signs on the doors. I walked in with no mask. If someone said something, I left and went to the next store.
The Dollar Store down the road was getting a ton of business this weekend because the workers weren't saying shite about masks even though the signs were posted.
Unfortunately, my dumbass son-in-law went down the waterslide at the party and fricked up his knee. I had to take him to the ER and wait with him. That is the first time I've worn a mask and I bitched at him the entire time.

The requirement to wear that 10sq inch of fabric is purely political.

Under the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), one is not required to disclose any medical conditions.
