Wouldn't be felony murder even if it was, because the dead kid was an accomplice to the crime.
Explain this... I thought felony murder was on the accomplices to the crime? Are you saying it's dependent on whether the good guy or one of the bad guys gets killed?

Correct. It is not felony murder if the person who dies was an accomplice to the underlying felony. It would need to be the victim of the underlying crime or some third party.

How about. If you are committing a crime and get your arse shot, the shooter does not face criminal charges. Guarantee would be less crime.

The murderer is this person. He's a criminal. You're coddling him.
I didn't even coddle the other criminals, which makes your projection even funnier. You are coddling a much bigger and worse criminal, however.

At least that is how it is in Colorado. In Louisiana, accomplices to the crime are not excluded.
All of these things in the criminal realm are heavily state dependent.

How is acting this out not vengeance?
They won’t be doing that again. Fair result.

Exactly.
The whole "chasing after them" completely changes the scenario.
This is completely different than even the Seth Fontenot matter, as the potential theft and shooting were much more related in time/geography.

The police are the proper authorities for that action.
I intentionally left out the reference to "justice", for obvious reasons.

He won't be murdering anyone else either, I reckon.

True.
I doubt the police would have given a crap if he let the criminals flee- maybe that's part of the fatigue. People getting victimized with no recourse will, sometimes, take action themselves.

When I become King we will treat car jackers/robbers like we used to treat horse thieves.

Which is unfortunate. Should be able to bring them down. Cops, too. I know there’s court ruling on that, but still. A few go down these thugs might think twice.

Justice served.

Do y'all think criminals review the criminal code in their jurisdiction before jacking cars? Some people are pieces of shite and no words on a piece of paper or potential punishment is going to deter them from doing whatever they want to do
