it is as crowded and expensive as ever….kids have no idea how much their parents sacrifice.

I never want to go back, but I am a young man with a wife who grew up on Disney and wants our kid we are planning on having soon to do get the Disney world experience at some point. Pray for me.

Kids do not appreciate or give a shite about Europe. One of the dumbest tropes on here is that taking your shithead kid to Europe is some kind of flex. Leave them at home.

Can confirm. I traveled all over Europe as a kid, and the only thing I cared about was playing golf in Scotland.

Eh, if you have the choice of spending 2 weeks in Europe seeing actual castles, villages, etc, or spending a week at Disney and spending 2-3 park days in sweltering Florida summer heat for the same price... it seems a certain demographic will stare you in the face and tell you Disney is a better choice every time .

Well my kids don't give a frick about actual castles and villages in Europe, so I'm not putting effort into that for a trip with them.

I’m not gonna lie, I loved Disney when I went as an 8y/o and I loved it when we went for a basketball tourney in HS. I can’t wait to have kids and give them that same feeling. Not sure why it gets so much shite on here other than the price

It's because of their feelings about Disney as a corporation. Something something woke groomers, etc. But it seems like a lot of those folks are still taking their kids anyway.

We've considered going for one of the festivals they have at Epcot. Step-kid has no desire to go at this point (she's 16). They have a Flower and Garden Festival in March to June that would probably be solid to hit before kids get out of school and it gets crazy.

Epcot has better European food than Europe does.

Hating disney world is like crossfit; for some reason, if someone hates disney world, they cannot shut the fk up about it. No one cares how much you dislike disney world.

People going to disney world dont care that you hate disney world.

People not going to disney world dont care that you hate disney world.

The only people that might care are other people that are climbing on mountain tops to signal to the rest of the world that they hate disney world.

It's such an odd soapbox. You dont get a prize for "not getting" disney world despite how people act like they have to not get it more than the next guy.

The wife and I went this year, and it was amazing, all the flowers. It was beautiful.

Right, I went as a teenager and wanted to sneak off to drink beer and go back to the room to jerk off. It was a waste for my parents that I didn’t realize until I was older.

Disney is meant for 5 to 10 year olds. A 5 and 7 year old in Europe sounds awful. They would like none of it.

Disney is expensive. It can also be fun for a family.

Cali is the shite! The weather is freaking awesome and the mountains/beach views are killer as well. Northern Cali humbolt county and the emerald triangle is a beauty in itself. The redwoods and wildlife are awesome. The politics and that kinda shite they can have. If it was affordable it would definitely be a place to live. Did i mention the weather?

Took my kids when they were younger, went back last Spring. I don't like the crowds, lines or being around that many people but I can do it for a few days. Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean make it ok enough. We'll probably go one more time next Spring and then never see it again unless we have grandkids someday.

then obviously not. Don't listen to the retarded crowd on here, the rest of the world doesn't share their view and thank God for that.
