In the Navy, there is no reveille. There's Colors (the national anthem) which always takes place at 0800 and then Retreat is played at sunset.

Another reason Navy isn't a real branch. No reveille...

Big deal. Us older folks used to wake up in the middle of the night to the national anthem on the tv every night. We didn't have to wait until 8:00am.

Yep. Wake up to shut the TV off and go to bed.

I married a westbank girl, bro. I was doomed.

My quality of life is pretty good. Big house, nice yard, nice neighbors, lots of hot Asians, and we have a Chick-Fil-A now.

I don't live in BC, but across the intracoastal in JP. I get the full Blue Angels show from my lawn chair.

You’re right, the westbank is a shithole, but Belle Chasse isn’t a bad place to live... great schools, no crime, and only 45 min away from sportsman’s paradise

Reveille is played first followed by the National Anthem. It's done that way at all US Military Bases.

Well they did almost twenty years ago at least. And it was more than just banging a trash can. It was throwing foot lockers into the wall and tipping over racks. At least the first few weeks.

It's especially funny when someone is still in them.

In a place like Alaska in the winter does it never get played since for many days there is no official sunrise?
