Then the "greed is good" MBA's showed up in the 80's and seating shrunk, more like sardines in a can. Food disappears. Big causal in patrons and manners went good bye.
It wasn't the MBAs of the 80s, it was the deregulation under Carter.

Would you rather take a high speed train or an Airbus 321 Neo/737 MAX?

I waiting for Musk’s hyperloop while also having a Futurama version for individuals to travel around local areas.

The money is already allocated. Landry actively doesn’t want to do it. Louisiana has refused massive, like 80/20 massive, federal funding
IIRC, the funding was to set up once daily Amtrak service that nobody is going to use….not for a new commuter rail service that might actually pick up a few riders.

Need to put folks in Congress that actually work for the real people (Both sides of the aisle). Good luck with that.

Money, and the demographic that would take these trains would ruin it for everyone

No one who supports creating high speed rail in the USA uses the attempts to create it as examples of success.
Why doesn’t anyone tout California’s high speed rail project as a success?

i can tell you i wouldnt ride it. Seems like a great way to travel if its some kind of upscale version but that wouldnt make money and frankly im not interested in riding across the country with the greyhound bus clientele....sounds miserable AF to be around a bunch of poor trash fricks for 8-10 hours in an aluminum can. frick that
