When I got my wisdom teeth removed. Was scary

I once heard that you are better off with a second rate surgeon and first rate anthesiologist than a top surgeon a second rate anthesiologist.

Had this happen while I was getting my wisdom teeth removed. Woke up, blinked, looked around heard/felt my head jerk around, then heard the drill breaking a tooth apart, then I was out again. Weird experience.

Moving while under anesthesia is not indicative that the patient is "waking up" and certainly not "aware" meaning forming memories of the event. Patients move all the time while under anesthesia and recall nothing.
Often after a patient is put under, we may run anesthesia a bit light while the surgeon is scrubbing or they are prepping the surgical site in an attempt to minimize things like low blood pressure. Once surgical incision is made, the depth of anesthesia may need to be increased and the patient may move or have a change in vital signs in response the surgical stimulus. Don't mistake patient movement under anesthesia to mean the patient is waking up and NEVER tell the anesthesiologist that "the patients awake", it's a huge pet peeve of mine.

Woke up during a heart ablation proceedure and saw the bank of monitors with different views on them and said "that is so cool"..then I realized it was my heart and said "shite, that's me, that's not cool"..and I heard laughing and someone say to put me back under..no pain, just a weird realization...

In my experience the most common cases of recall occur during dental procedures, specifically ones done in an office setting. If you're coming to the OR for a dental procedure I can almost guarantee you that you will be under general anesthesia and not remember a thing. Office based anesthesia is basically oral Valium and some nitrous oxide.
Other procedures where people may have recall are colonoscopies, procedures incorporating spinal anesthesia, and minor skin procedures.

Yeah. Had a penis enlargement done in Baja Mexico. Got an errction during the operation. My dick is huge now but when I get an erection the tip blossoms out like a flower.

Thankfully he said 'no'

Same thing happened to me. However I could see the monitor of what was inside my stomach and I started focusing on that and I quit choking. It was near the end of the procedure and I was probably like that for 5 minutes max.
Once I saw the monitor of what the scope was seeing I immediately became fascinated with the video, pretty much took any panic away at that point.

I was walking in a field behind my subdivision. It was in the rear of a wash near a runoff. I saw a sudden flash of light and felt myself being levitated and moving upward off the ground. I felt weightless. My vision faded and It was so peaceful and quiet. I remember coming to but barely able to see anything except 3-4 ft tall slim, pale, off white figures with large lightbulb shaped heads and huge eyes. I think I felt a suppository of sorts and heard metal instruments shuffling on glass surfaces. I felt my entire body was numb but restrained from moving in any way. Next thing I knew I was standing in the field where the flash was first noticed but my anus felt greasy and violated, perhaps by some type of probe.
That's all I got.......

I was getting surgery on my teeth to get a tooth out of my palate that was growing backwards and I woke up.
I opened my eyes and heard the doctor say "oh no he's awake" they put another tube of knockout juice in my IV and I passed back out

Good thing you didn't feel what they were doing. There are cases where people have awakened and felt everything. My last child was by emergency c section due to placental rupture. Surgeon cut before I was out!!!

I got my wisdom teeth taken out in the Army. I woke up halfway into the 2nd one and felt every bit of the last one being crunched and yanked out. By the time I left I was in an absurd amount of pain. I don't think they believed me because when I asked for something for now they just kind of shrugged me off and said no.
It was until a couple of hours later when my bleeding stopped and I could pull the gauze out of my mouth that I was able to take some of the oxycodone they gave me.

this actually happened in the middle of having my nose repaired. Woke up and even spoke to the doctor. I heard ask for a chisel. i said" hey, what do you need a chisel for?". I couldn't feel anything but i could see, talk and hear. Then he said, turn up the anesthesia and i woke up in the recovery room. Thought maybe i had dreamed the whole thing but, he told the story to my wife in the recovery room.

Twice. Once as a child while having my tonsils & adenoids removed. And once as an adult while having my wisdom teeth removed.

I came to enough during a Colonoscopy that I remember screaming out. They put some more juice in the IV.
Now they give me a laundry list of drugs to put me out.
Demerol
Versed
Benadryl
Phenergan
