Yup. Went to grade and high school with a guy that would later become a crackhead. He went to rob what he thought was an empty house, only to be surprised by a mother and her 2 children. He stabbed the mother over 40 times and is serving life at Angola. Last I heard he had been diagnosed with rectal cancer.

Why did he plead guilty just to get a life sentence? Might as well have a trial.

Perhaps to avoid death penalty?

Buddy of mine was best friends with a guy that murdered his mom & dad. They were together earlier in the day. Said there was not even a hint that that was going to happen. Did say his old man used to beat the shite out of him thiugh. Never saw him again....until he literally bumped into him in prison 20 years later. Buddy is the prison pharmacist. He came out of a doorway and boom, there he was, being escorted somewhere. Said it was the strangest thing he's ever felt. Had to tell his bosses that he knew him. Some kinda policy. Pretty crazy

Have an Uncle that no doubt about it murdered my Aunt, his third wife. He is extremely wealthy and slick so he never saw a jail/prison cell. He's in a hospital as we speak dying of cancer and I wish nothing but ill will upon him.

Did a one month psych clinical rotation at the local VA. Main instructor was young married black woman with young son. A few months after I finished I saw on the news she was strangled by her husband who worked security at the same VA. Apparently she told him she was leaving and he snapped. Strangled her right there in their kitchen. Her mom is raising the son now. Sad f'd up world we live in.

Almost. I managed a guy that murdered his girlfriend. His trial is in a few months but it's a certainty he did it.

Managed him at what?

Software sales. He was actually my top selling rep. HR fired him when he was a no show one day because he was arrested the night before for beating the shite out of the girl he was sleeping with. They were loaded on drugs and alcohol. She didn't press charges so he went free.

Less than a year later he killed a different girl he'd just started dating. I had to go to Richardson PD to talk with the cops about him and see if I knew enough about him to help find the body. I was of no help because I'd cut ties with him. But they found the body and tons of evidence that it was him.
