Ever shake the hand of a person who later became the murderer of someone you know?

A prior boss of mine was beaten to death by her husband two years ago. The guy used to always come by the office so I routinely had interactions with him. Today he plead guilty and was sentenced to life in prison, which is too light for what he did, and to such a great human being inside and out, at that.

Just seems spooky to know that I shook the man's hand and spoke to him a few times and it got me thinking how many people have actually known the person who later killed someone you know?

There was a few thread a week or so ago that was discussing suicide and depression with people not showing any signs of being a threat to themselves. People live secret lives all the time.

I shook a guys hand today after being introduced after a meeting and almost immediately realized my hand now smelled like arse.

This guy mush have been diddling hemorrhoids before the meeting. fricking gagged right in front of him and headed to wash it.

Maybe he fisted his wife to death this morning.

Why did he plead guilty just to get a life sentence? Might as well have a trial.

I went to a K-8 school where my mother was a 7/8 English teacher, and eventually, a vice principal.

There was a 7/8 history teacher most of my time there that was involved in extracurricular programs and became part of my mother's social circle. In sixth grade, I went on a school trip to DC that he organized. He came over to our house at least twice. I went over to his house for the same kind of deal (cookout) with my parents at least once. Met his wife - he drowned her in their bath when I was in HS.

Almost. I managed a guy that murdered his girlfriend. His trial is in a few months but it's a certainty he did it.

Yep. I was friends with a girl who was later murdered by her college boyfriend. I met him about two years before he killed her.

He was on death row in Arkansas, last I knew.

Glad I got that off my chest.
