Sure, there is an active nest 1/4 mile from my house, I see them almost daily. Love seeing them.

ETA: The first Bald Eagle I ever saw was in my neighbor's yard, near the LSU lakes. I was stunned with surprise. This was back around 1990.

I’ve been lucky enough to see probably 20-25 bald eagles locally and in my travels the last few years.

Saw this one just about 3 weeks ago right here in CenLa near
Kincaid Lake.

The next 4 pics were all taken on a float trip along the Snake River in Grand Teton. I think we saw 7-8 that day alone.

Seeing them never gets old…

Went to Vancouver Island in 2023. Our AirBnB looked out over the strait and there was a big dead tree right off the water’s edge. Bald Eagles would sit in the tree in the morning and evening looking for salmon. Really cool watching these magnificent birds. .

I didn’t realize Bald Eagles migrated this far south. Thought I’d get like 10 replies

If you search eagles by state you’ll see Florida has the 4th most.

Plenty of them in Lake Verret area. See them every time I’m there.

We were fishing in Verret this past summer and there were 6-8 picking up fish out the lake. Talk about impressive.

Saw one while fishing once. There was a dead perch on top of the water about 15 yards from the boat. It circled slowly, came down, and plucked it out of the water before flying back off with it.

Probably a lot cooler to see them hunt and kill instead of scavenge, but it was nothing short of beautiful and majestic.

Same here. Sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. There are so many more of them than there were 15-20 years ago.

but the tips of the wings and tail have to be white also to be considered a bald eagle.

Wrong. The wing tips are dark.

When I lived in Walker there was a family of them that lived in the woods behind the neighborhood.. I'd see them catch fish in the lake all the time.. Also had some for a long time near our camp at the mouth of the Blind River ..

There’s several in central Arkansas, some from Arkansas might’ve made their way to Oklahoma.

I have not seen one in real life but, I follow a nest that has a large presence on social media and does a live stream on Youtube and has a Facebook group dedicated to it. Beautiful animals and so fun to watch the babies each year. They have several cameras set up SW Florida Eagle Cam
