That is a whole colony. From the state park to Pirates cove up to pleasure point. They have been living there for years. Theres a whole bunch of them now.
I haven't been to Toledo since my dad passed away so I had no idea if they were still there.

Went kayaking in the San Juan islands around 2008. We saw a bald eagle catch a small bird, then land on a branch, rip the birds head off and eat it. Never felt more American than in that moment.
This is best picture I got of it

There are quite a few on Caddo Lake.

I hate to be a d**k, but that isn't a bald eagle. It is an eagle, but the tips of the wings and tail have to be white also to be considered a bald eagle. It is a beautiful eagle though. We have many of them in the Atchafalaya swamp that are the same, the head looks like a bald eagle, but apparently they are not considered a true bald eagle.
There are only two Eagles with white heads (pretty clear in OPs pic) and the other is the White-Bellied Sea Eagle (native to Australia and parts of Asia).
There are no “white tips” on adult Bald Eagles.

Looks like a bald to me but I'm not exactly Joe Outdoorsman or anything.
They have one in the conservatory in Galveston and I don't remember white tipped wings, but again I'm no expert on avian plumage.

Since I started birding a year ago I’ve seen two. One I didn’t have my camera with me and it was close enough I could’ve hit the thing with a rock flying passed me (it was flying down a tributary fishing in the spring and I was standing on the bank). The second I got some pics as it was flying overhead and a common lookout in the summer.
I’m always taken aback by their size when they’re using their full wingspan.

Clearly an ivory-billed woodpecker.
Geesh, you people are blind and dumb.

Can't really call it "wild" since it's suburban NOLA but I often see them driving down W. Metairie, W. Napoleon.
Just last week there was an osprey perched on top of a telephone pole in the backyard. I haven't seen one of those in years.

All the time around Belle Chasse Louisiana and south of the Naval Air Station. In doing track and balance flights in my aircraft I almost hit one because they are an apex predator and are not afraid of the helicopter and will not move. Almost took a 8-pounder thru the windshield one time. Also have seen them in the trees along the Mississippi river batture along river road on the west bank.

We took our engagement pics on an alpine lake in Colorado. Most of them include a bald eagle that was showing off in the background above the lake the entire time.
Also saw in otter in that lake that day. I still have questions about how that otter got there.
