Ever glance at a tall Radio/TV tower and wonder who changes the light up top?

I'd carry a sharpie up there and write Paul was here, and date it.

My luck, I'd get to the top then have to take a dump

I know a guy who used to be a tower monkey. He put in new beacon lamps all the time.
He wouldn't get stoned but liked to take a few joint hits before climbing.

He has a hard hat on.
like that's gonna cushion his fall.

I mean, it's not for him falling. What if a bird shits on his head? What if some equipment falls from somewhere while he is climbing.

I used to work for a power company that owns transmission lines that cross the MS River. The towers on each side of the river are tall enough to require the aviation beacons. The least likely employee out of all of us always volunteered to replace burned out lamps. He was a small, middle-aged introverted guy but he had done it for years and evidently enjoyed it.

Did you ever have a scare?

Would absolutely be down to do that job. I have 0 fear of heights.

Idk how it is now, but you used to get paid a certain amount per foot to climb.

I'd like to see how far up I could get before getting scared.
