you wouldn't believe the stuff i was accused of during my divorce
luckily as things were going south she tripped up on her lies and the judge threw the book at her.
Oh yes I would...
My ex accused me of everything you can imagine. Thankfully we were able to get the capital to fight for, and eventually win, sole custody.

One time I pulled this douchebag over in a series l Beamer for running a stop sign and he claimed I was only pulling him over because I was jealous that he had a BMW. Like anyone is jealous of you for driving the Honda Civic of BMWs. He then had his son strapped in a hot pink car seat. To cheap to buy the poor kid his own car seat.
I'm glad I had video

St. John Cop pulls me over on old 51 heading north out of La Place. He says: "you were going over 100 mph".
I said: "no, my cruise control was set on 65 mph".
He said: "that's a lie. My speedometer was over 110 mph."
I said: "That's probably why you caught up with me so fast."
He said: "here, take your license back. If I catch you speeding again I'll run you in."
What a dumb arse. Hopefully all cops aren't this stupid.

One time I bought a treadmill on Craigslist, and when I made it to the guys house, it was on a corner lot. So I parked in the driveway and had to walk around the yard to the front door. When I walked around the house to the front, there were some girls playing basketball. They looked at me and screamed and ran inside their house. I didn't think anything of it, I just figured it was dumb kids. So while me and the guy were disassembleing the treadmill there's a knock on his door. He came back with a weird look on his face and said the police are here looking for me. I go outside tell the police my story and the two police men said the girls said I chased them all the way to their house.
So one of the cops tells me to wait here while he goes and talks to the people at the other house. He came back a few minutes later and said under his breath I can go, those people are weird.

When I was a kid, I was the only white kid on the bus ride home after school. I was sitting in the seat with this kid who was punching holes in the back of the seat in front of us with a pencil.
That evening the school called and told my Mom that several kids said I had did it, which was complete BS. The next morning My mom and I had to go to the principals office and there were like 8 kids from the bus, including the kid who did it, saying they witnessed me doing it.
My parents ended up having to pay for the damage.
It makes me feel better knowing the kid that did it is in prison right now.

I was accused and taken into the police station with media around and filming me for a bank robbery. The prior day, I went to the local Wells Fargo to deposit a check in an asociate's business account (I do not have an account there). I have a business that does large cash transactions daily. To avoid paying a fortune in bank wire fees, most people in the industry have accounts at major banks with branches all over. We just go and deposit checks into each other's accounts.
Anyway, I was driving my Jeep that day and had a big beard which I've only grown out maybe twice in my life. The next day around 10:30AM, that branch was robbed by a guy in a big black Jeep that looked like mine (down to a couple random stickers placed on it) and the guy looked exactly like me. I mean exactly, down to the shirt and baseball hat I was wearing. They came and picked me up at home around 8PM and I was taken in and processed as the sole suspect who they "positively" identified in the heist. It took almost 48 hours to clear my name. The detectives questioning me didn't care to check out my story, and were too busy threatening me in the interrogation room. I live in a town with almost zero crime. The biggest crime in the past year was someone accidentally forgetting to pay for a bag of ice at the grocery store. The cops were taking full advantage of it, and they were doing routines as if they've watched Law & Order too many times. It was comical how ignorant and stupid the questioning was. I could write another whole post making a mockery of my time spent at the jail. Even after verifying it wasn't me, they had these elaborate pipe dreams about how I was in two places at once and it was all planned out.
Want to know my alibi? I was at the county courthouse for jury duty! They finally went and pulled the camera footage and court logs and saw me, in my Jeep, at the courthouse the whole morning. This was the first and only time I've been summoned too. I was pretty damn close to not going, but said screw it and went anyway to take a breather from work.
Moral of the story? Do your civic duty and go to jury duty. If not, you might be spending the rest of your life in prison for a violent crime you didn't commit.

When I was a kid, I was buying something from Service Merchandise. The price tag on the item was not the correct tag. The cashier, rather than "price check" and informing me of the error, called the manager over who began cryptically questioning me -under the assumption that I had "tag switched".
He then walked me over to the "office" where an armed security guard stood in front of me while the manager demanded my mother's phone number. These were pre-cell phone days and my mom was in the mall at another store. At no point did the guy ask if I'd done it - not that it would have mattered to him.
After about 25 minutes and him repeating that I was going to jail for shoplifting, the security guard actually suggested one of the associates check the tags of similar items. Turns out they all had the wrong tags.
The manager "released" me and never apologized for being a douche.
A few years later, I saw that security guard on a detail at another store in the mall. He remembered me and shook my hand and apologized. I guess that was cool.

quote:They're called "Presumptions". I find it insulting to carry on a conversation with someone who bases their entire mindset on what they think you did or didn't do as opposed to what actually happened. They hurl one judgment after another and never give you credit for making concise observations and doing your homework. I know 2 people who do this. Women are THE worse. I rarely see this trait in men.
Ever been falsely accused of anything?
