European speeding ticket

I got an email from the car rental that I had a speeding ticket while I was in Austria two weeks ago.
Anyone have any experience with European speeding tickets?
Been ignoring it, waiting for the charge to appear on my corporate credit card.
Guessing it isn't like New Orleans speeding tickets.

I usually ignore them and I’m pretty sure they just go away.
I have bad credit though FWIW

Not a problem as long as you don’t go back to Europe

Count yourself lucky it wasn’t Switzerland, they levy fines on a sliding scale based on your wealth.

It will hit your cc.
Europe doesn’t play around. The UK highway system had cameras timing you through check points. If your avg speed exceeded the limit, you got a tkt

Today as i was driving 50 in a 35 and people were blowing by me, I had a thought that maybe we should have some sort of speed control on our streets....just a thought.Actually, I was more pissed at people doing 30 and texting.

I’m guessing this speeding ticket happened in Golden Meadow.

If you don't pay it, you pre-authorized them to charge you in the rental agreement. Pay it or don't, either way you'll pay for it.

Any ticket in a rental you can't really get out of. The rental company pays it then has your card.

I got one in Italy a few years ago. I didn't pay it, mostly because the letter was in Italian.
It never made it to my credit report, the rental company didn't charge me, and I have been back to Italy and didn't get arrested or cited.

Just say that you were trying to get to the mosque in time for daily prayer. All charges dropped.

I don't know for sure if it's possible, but I think you can set it up so that a specific company or entity can't make any further charges on your card.
