Etiquette for handshakes when hands are not clean?

Wondering the etiquette at work where I meet a bunch of people every day. Sometimes, if I'm doing an unsavory activity and I'll where gloves when I meet someone. I don't want to be a dick and turn their hand away. I don't want to get all the potential nasty things on my glove on his hand, and if I take a glove off, my hand will still be super sweaty until I wash it. So what's the general consensus?

That's what I feel I should do, but I also feel like they assume that what I'm doing is a hell of a lot cleaner than it is. And they are pretty damn aggressive. I also feel like well, they're older men, they don't give a crap about the possibility of getting their hands dirty.

I'll shar anyone's hand but keep a bottle of sanitizer nearby for this reason. Some nasty mofos out there.
