I'm truly not sure what Acadia parish's problem is with this line of thought....when I moved to Crowley and found out that Morse, Estherwood, Mermentau, and Egan (I think...not 100% on Egan though) had a PD....I was pretty surprised.

Yea I knew she had some legal issues a while back but I couldn't remember what it was exactly....I'd have guessed it would have involved stealing public funds as thats all the rage around here right now.....but drugs would have been my 2nd guess

It's all about the revenue. Hire a bunch of $10/hr idiots to write tickets and pile up misdemeanors to generate some money for the city or town. Unfortunately, these people carry guns and have the full authority of the law behind them.
