After studying the other two bottles that sold for $1250 and $1550, I’m selling mine for $800, due to water damage to the label and tax strip, and the amount of loss.

I believe I have a buyer in Kentucky.

Plus, if I sold it at an auction house, like the other two, they would take 30%+ seller’s fee.

I heard back from Unicorn auctions. They appraised the rye at $1400-$1600 (which I think is high).
They will auction it on 1/21/24

They only take 5% seller’s fee

Not my first time finding an old, unopened bourbon or scotch.
Officially, estate sale companies cannot sell alcohol, so they get creative. This company said you can have the bottle with a “donation”. I offered $10 and she took it.
