Calendars still open?

Negative. Both have been closed for 5-6 years. The Perkins Rd location lasted a little bit longer than Coursey but not by much.

Went there after Pelican House Friday night around 11. It was packed.

Didn't realize the upstairs was as big as it was. It was a good time.

The upstairs is legit for a pregame spot or even to watch a football game. Darts, pool, lots of big TVS, cheap draft. Used to go there all the time when a buddy of mine worked there. Looks a lot better since they renovated too.

I'm surprised the bulldog has maintained. Not because of atmosphere obviously, but because there always seems to be checkpoints and patrols nearby.

Mi Padres in Prairieville-Overpriced Mexican and not very good.

Sante Fe Cattle Co.-Crappy chain restaurant that finally closed-wonder why it took so long.

GN Gonzales-I know of very few people who have actually purchased a bike there. I heard the manufacturers made them do some renovations recently as they were threatening to pull the dealership. If it weren't for the nearby plants bringing traffic to the area I think they would have closed long ago.

Any mattress store-You see these places pop up pretty often. I didn't realize mattress sales were that brisk.

Podnuh's BBQ-Used to be one of the only places to get legit BBQ back in the early 90's. A long slide downhill from those days.

Albertson's on Highland/Airline: They were the only game in the area for a while but now face some competition and the new Rouses won't help. They close the liquor part as early as 8pm on a Friday, baffling.

Dillard's Clearance Center @ Cortana - I mean, are the bargains that good to make a trip to Cortana?

Is it as depressing as the old Dillard's or Maison Blanche clearance center in Bon Marche used to be?

having one of those stores is never a good sign

Tastes just as good today as it did back then. Other than locations suck, what makes it no longer legit?

If you're willing to put in the work, you can walk out of Dillard's clearance center with 4 sweet-arse oxfords for around $40. No joke.

All you need is an escort in and out of the parking lot.

Podnuh's is a good one too. I rarely see anyone there for dinner. Maybe they do good lunch business?

Only good pizza in BR. Unfortunately, the owner's attitude and stupid BR people combine to keep business now.

Didn't TJ Ribs get "voted" best BBQ in BR for 2014?
