I understand pizza doesnt cook instantly.
FDL is thin crust pizza. It's not instant, but thin crust takes no longer than 10 minutes to cook in a hot brick oven. Probably closer to 5 minutes.

Applebee's. Any of them. Seriously, how does that place stay open?
While it might be one of the most unhealthy chain restaurants in the country, I've never really had a bad meal there. They always have a good bit of variety and decently priced meals. Personally, I prefer it over Chili's.
With that being said, I don't think I've been to one in the last three years.

If you don't change, you die.
Actually, what killed picadilly was that they DID change, their recipes, that is, in the early 2000s. They started sourcing more ingredients with national suppliers and changed a lot of their seasoning blends. They focused on modernizing their supply chain and lowering cooking times and costs in order to increase profit margins and lower overhead. As a result, their etouffee went from among the best you could find anywhere to tasting like the frozen kind you can buy in the grocery store. Similar results from their catfish. Did they miss out on opportunities to change their business model to be more successful? I'm sure they could have, but the reason they have lost customers is more due to declining quality than changing culture.

I love Applebee's commercials. The exaggerated glee perfectly portrayed by accomplished actors
I was in an Applebees commercial in 2000. True story. Got paid $14k.

Pastime. Awful ordering system, mediocre service, geriatric atmosphere, and shitty food, especially their pizza

While in college I spent some Summers working@ Superior Grill in BR. I would have absolutely no problem eating there now, I never saw anything in the kitchen that would bother me or prevent me from eating there...

misread the post.
ill say tony's seafood.
great food, but suburban whites usually look uneasy there.
Catering from that place for tailgates and plants in the area, as well as large orders of crawfish in season make a LOT of money for that bidness.
Matter of fact, we're ordering two trays for our table at Spanish Town Ball.

I'll give FDL this. Pastime is 10000x worse.
FDL regular cheese pizza might be good. But the rancid thing I got a while back will keep me from returning. I don't think I could convince Jones if I paid him.

Yeah, Tony's isn't hurting at all. Every time my mom comes in town she stops there for some boudin balls and boiled crabs/shrimp. When I worked up on Evangeline we would go there for plate lunches a few times a month, and it was always busy, with blacks and whites.
They do a good job of hiring security and keeping it feeling safe.

Yeah, the plate lunch line in Tony's is always 20+ people deep when I go.
