I feel sorry for Picadilly, they are trying to hold on to an outdated business model and refuse to update their menu. It's like watching a really old person at the end of their life.
It's like watching the people who eat there.

I agree with FDL. I went just one time but the pizza was so greasy I felt sick after. It also took a long time although I understand pizza doesnt cook instantly. It's ridic that it was cash only, and the place was cramped, dark and filthy.

Yep. All of this. Got the Around the World. I like anchovies, so we left them on. They were more rotten tasting than any anchovy I've ever had. I couldn't keep eating because they made me feel queasy.
There were people's bad children running all over the place, and my friend told me that is every single day.
Everything seemed gross. It was storming outside, and their windows leak. We were against the front wall, which is a giant window, and there were towels lining the floor. Only they were mildewed like they've been there ever since the first time the window leaked.

And that's all not bringing up the absolutely HORRIBLE stories I've heard about management. And that I've known two people who were threatened to be kicked out on separate occasions for having a conversation at their table and using the word "damn" where the owner heard them.

Closed for a few years, reopened a while back. Food as good as ever. Steady weekend regulars.

Carlos' food is fantastic, but it is really far from home and the atmosphere in a nursing home is better, so that is why I never think to go.

Applebee's. Any of them. Seriously, how does that place stay open?

Yes, any of them - anywhere, not just Baton Rouge. I've been to Applebee's in BR, Houston, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and a few other locations and they all suck. I have never once proactively gone there but always someone wants to go there for some godawful reason. Happened to me right before Christmas this year. Why is there always that one person in the group that loves this place? Kind of like Olive Garden as well...there's always some dbag that loves the place.

I'm surprised PoBoy express stays open. I personally love the place but every time I go there I'm usually the only one unless with a friend.

That place dies banging business at night. That where all the drunks go and it's really cheap.

I'm a current LSU student and I don' know a single person that's ever eaten at Weierschnitzel.

All the drunks eat at Pluckers, Taco Bell, or Louies.

GN Gonzales-I know of very few people who have actually purchased a bike there. I heard the manufacturers made them do some renovations recently as they were threatening to pull the dealership. If it weren't for the nearby plants bringing traffic to the area I think they would have closed long ago.

They sell a frick ton of bikes and ATVs. A lot more than anyone else in town. They always have.

The renovations were long overdue and they did a good job.

That place doesn't need to sell a single bike to the General public. They are the largest importer/wholesaler of Honda products (other than cars) in the country.

Stopped there many times stumbling back from The Bengal headed back to Kirby Smith. Yeah, I'm that old.

Only good pizza in BR. Unfortunately, the owner's attitude and stupid BR people combine to keep business now.

NY City Pizza is good, but it's not much better if any than Deangelo's or Fleur de Lis. And I've had a Deangelo's and NY City pizza recently.

And by "stupid BR people" who the frick are you talking about? What an ignorant thing to say. I guess all the stupid BR people that crowd into Ruffino's, LA Lagniappe, Chris', Mansur's etc. are the stupid ones you speak of.

NY City Pizza has a shitty unappealing store front, and yes, a dick owner, and a pretty good pizza. Let's all here in BR beat down their doors to dine there.

I love the place too.

The one down Florida always has plenty of business, can't really speak for the rest of them though.
