because he disciplines him with a belt

quote:

Washington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson, who served a one-year suspension in the NFL after he was charged with child abuse, admitted he still sometimes uses a belt to hit his son.

In a story on Bleacher Report, Peterson said, "I had to discipline my son and spank him the other day with a belt."

My son gets his iPad taken away for an hour if he acts up. Made him the most well-behaved 4 month old you'll ever see

Dear Adrian,

Thanks for not raising a spoiled baby back bitch and thanks for being a DAD.

Damn i didn't know he whipped his son that bad when he got suspended. That's way to far.

I don't see an issue with what AP did/is doing, but after what happened with you already, don't fricking tell people from Bleacher Report. Athlete's are so damn stupid sometimes.

If you’re doing this to your kid to discipline them, then you’re not “being a DAD”. You’re abusing your kid.

Never mind the fact that he also did that to the kid’s nuts.

He was wrong for what he did before. To compare a spanking with a belt to that and act like he should be punished for it is idiotic.

Given his history that he doesn’t know when to stop when it reaches the point of abuse, then I’m going to go out in a limb and say maybe he should learn how to discipline his kids without laying a hand on them.

Which you can absolutely do.

I still can't believe he got suspended a whole year because he made his son go pick out a switch from a tree so that AP could give him a whippin.

Not to sound old, but there were so many things that happened 30 years ago that would get people jailed, fired, expelled from school, etc today.

What does that have to do with beating him with sticks and belts? If you're saying there's alternatives to beatings, then I agree.

This. If you see the pics then you can't say it's normal parenting.

If he really wants to discipline his kid, why doesn't he just shake the kid's hand

Well if he has to resort to such drastic measures it’s obvious he is unable to command respect and rightfully so.
