Erie, PA receives 60.5" of snow from 12/24 to 12/26, breaks old record of 44" (photos)

I flew up here on Christmas Day. Had to drive from Buffalo Airport to Jamestown NY (40 miles east of Erie).
It took me about 3.5 hours to drive what normally would take one hour. It was the worst conditions I have ever driven in with blowing,drifting snow, wind and ice on the roads. I lived in Cleveland for ten years and had seen some pretty trecherous conditions, but this took the cake.
It’s nasty and cold.

We make a trip from Massachusetts to Louisiana twice a year. Last time we drove back in the summer, when weather allows, we went through Upstate Ny-Buffalo-Eerie-Cleveland-and down through Ohio. Anyway, driving from Buffalo to Cleveland was the creepiest thing imaginable. It was like Chernobyl. Complete ghost-town like. Creepy drive

It doesn't look like the most attractive place to live.
Aside from the crappy economics of the area, I don't think I could handle a winter where snow like this is possible.

I’m not too learned on snow melt rates and what not. How likely is it for that area to get warm enough long enough to see a flood?

I think 6 feet of snow equates to 6” of rain. I doubt it floods
