They need to get mad at the advertisers and sponsors not the league. No one watches soccer, much less women’s soccer. We don’t care how good you are. We just want football season.

I watch the men every time they make the WC.
Women? I never watched one match and didn't know they were even a thing until 12 years ago and even then didn't give a shite and still don't today.

The USMNT are competing against foreign teams where soccer is a national sport. Brazil men's team is huge deal while Brazilian women were outright banned from playing soccer from the 1940's until the 70's, their women's team gets nothing close to the support the the men's team does. The USWNT is the best supported womens soccer team in the world, no shite they win against a shite field of competition.

Anybody who thinks the women have ‘earned’ equal pay is an idiot. They’ve earned the highest pay of any women’s team in the nation.
Does anybody give a shite about women’s soccer in non WC years?
With the way this country is, they’ll probably get their equal pay. It will have to cause a decrease in men’s soccer pay. Where else is this money going to come from?
Some of the players on that team are just dying to have their names become more relevant. They’ve made the last couple of months less enjoyable for anybody that cares about the sport.
For a country that doesn’t give a shite about women’s sports and soccer, we are pretty damn good at it. I guess that’s a plus.
