I'll leave around 5. A 4 day weekend is useless to me if I'm going to get killed on the back end.

I'm the only one left in my office.

If the phone rings I'm going to literally go ballistic and start breaking things. Don't these assholes on the other line know it's Wednesday afternoon before a big holiday?

I have two employees with this type of attitude today.

They don't realize I can hear their chatter.

They will be the last two to leave today.

What you are saying is you are a douche?

I'm just talking attitudes in general...mostly younger ones. If they were told they could leave at 2, you would see most sneaking out at 1:30. It's your job....YOU ARE GETTING PAID!!!!!!!

Ew. Your work sounds shitty.

I'd never want to work somewhere that was tracking every minute. As long as shite that needs to get done is done, who cares?

what's 30 minutes going to make?

A lot of people are traveling today. 30 minutes of day light means a lot to people driving and means nothing in terms of productivity in the office.

Everyone is dead right now anyway. Why not improve relationship with your employees?

Exactly. Even the 4 hours we were there today, nobody was doing much work.

I work in the education industry, so if all of my clients (schools) are closed, I have zero to do at the office. Empty inbox just sitting there.

We get off at noon on the 23rd of December and don't go back until the 4th of January too. All paid.
