The entergy CEO lives in the woodlands and their planes are always at the Conroe airport, wouldn’t be surprised to see yet another company relocate to TX. Considering they have a monopoly on the woodlands power grid it would make sense for them to set up shop here.

Leo lives in New Orleans.

The Woodlands "expansion" is just a consolidation of multiple leases that expired at a convenient time; it's not an expansion.

People happy with Entergy must not live in New Orleans.
NOLA residents are paying for ENO so-called civic/charitable contributions. Why does Entergy need to advertise? Is there an alternative utility.
Ida's major impact on New Orleans was mainly due to lhe collapse of ENO's rusty transmission towers.
These towers were allegedly designed to withstand winds greater than Ida's force. NOLA rate players should not be saddled with Entergy's negligence.

You have the lowest rates out of any Entergy customer. The real story is you just like to complain. And if you are a poor...get a job.

Entergy does not own the building on Loyola - they lease it from Chris Robertson.

Entergy's footprint in Texas is small. Two thirds of their total customer base is in Louisiana and Arkansas. The rest are in Texas and Mississippi. I don't think they would move to the Woodlands unless they were able to expand their customer base in Texas.

Fwiw, this is the 3rd Entegy NOLA CEO in about 36 months. One resigned after they paid actors to go in and speak up, in a government hearing, for Entergy NOLA in regards to building a powerplant that didn't work during IDA and the other was replaced after Entergy NOLA cut power to people during the Mardi Gras freeze despite not needing to cut power to them.

But but but they are great! It's all the city's fault! Stupid city council. Stupid residents. Entergy can do no wrong. They gave money to CHARITY!!!

The portion of Texas they are in is in the portion that is not part of the ERCOT grid, right?

Man, you just don't get it. No one is praising Entergy - they are a mediocre utility company but their response to Ida was above average and the backlash from the city council is unwarranted.

It's literally just a plea from Helena Morena pandering to her base for a mayorial run in a couple years. Nothing more - nothing less. And if you think for a second she is going to bully Entergy into a compromising position, you're an idiot. Entergy has the upper hand here - no one wants to do operate a utility business within a hurricane prone area, regulated by an incompetent city council, with an extremely small customer base.

That seems to be a trend more and more people are getting on board with these days, even those who never dreamed they would.

It isn't just NOLA. It is LA. Sad. The trend actually started a long time ago. I just think more people are realizing it which is how things go. They realize it when it is too late and the golden goose is dead.

The foot print is small but Entergy makes 4 to 5 times more in that little foot print than it makes in New Orleans. See ya.

Nope. The left-wingers protest whale hunting. So that's out.

Let's start a list of companies and firms that want to buy Entergy NO. I'll start:

These towers were over 50 years old and nobody was designing to an extreme wind case back then. Entergys new infrastructure is built to 150 mph in orleans and Jefferson Parish

Also it was one feed into the city. The tower could have been standing and it would have been the same impact with the other lines that were out of service.

I am a right-winger and I am against whale hunting. Conservatives used to be conservationists.

Heard on the radio, Entergy is the last fortune 500 company in new orleans.

Hopefully, latoya runs them off so she can add that to her list of accomplishments.
