God. I would pay money for the city of New Orleans to run the utility company.
I look forward to seeing the large hand crank Latoya plans to commission

Hopefully the City of New Orleans' flirtation with AC power will prove to be just a phase.

They’ll end up going back to whale oil lanterns if the city runs it.

Well disregard. One of their higher ups lives in Carlton woods and I thought it was the CEO but obviously I am mistaken

Yep, CEO is in Nola. Entergy has done everything they can to make New Orleans happy and it's not enough. Low Rates, Fortune 500 headquarters, charity work and donations, and still Latoya and Moreno complain. Get out and let Nola rot.

Entergy CEO or Entergy New Orleans CEO?
Are they the same? Because Entergy NOLA CEO is a woman.
It reads like these are two different people.
Fwiw, this is the 3rd Entegy NOLA CEO in about 36 months. One resigned after they paid actors to go in and speak up, in a government hearing, for Entergy NOLA in regards to building a powerplant that didn't work during IDA and the other was replaced after Entergy NOLA cut power to people during the Mardi Gras freeze despite not needing to cut power to them.

So, like, the worst utility ever.
Maybe up there with worst domestic corporate entity ever.

ETA: NOLA fricking would find a reason to change all services to single phase.

IMHO, Entergy has been angling to get Entergy New Orleans removed as a separate entity, and they have the perfect opportunity.
Not sure that the now infamous transmission tower is even former NOPSI or now Entergy New Orleans, but Entergy obviously has maintenance (and operational) issues that should be looked at on a larger scale. They won't be though.
Bringing back NOPSI or some form of it is asking for disaster.

Need for that big building.
FWIW, the building continues to see significant renovations throughout Rona. I believe that Entergy intends for everyone to come back eventually. That's pending Teedy pissing them off enough to leave the city/state.

It never shocks me how anti business these clowns are. It’s not even just the big companies, I’ve spoken with small to mid size business owners who can’t get out fast enough, some have even met with Teddy and been blown off by that hostile bitch.
It’s pretty sad that the only growth industry in the city are personal injury lawyers.

Sounds like NO Council is behind this shite.
Imagine another major hurricane hitting NOLA without the resources of Entergy to repair the damages.
