Don’t have Entergy, but if I did I would think to myself that Entergy could go frick off.

You gotta be really fat to find 78 degrees with low humidity uncomfortable.

It's not uncomfortable I guess, but definitely not as comfortable as when you drop it until the windows fog up during the day

Any time a heat advisory his announced here, energy curtailments go into effect. Elevators get taken out of service, laundry rooms get shut down, and sometimes even common area ac.

Enetergy sucks but It’s not a unique request.

We're not on Entergy but keep our thermostat on 74. We need to switch out one of our 2 ton units for a 3 ton ... hopefully it will help keep the main part of the house (with high ceilings) much cooler. Right now, besides ceiling fans, I have to run a couple of floor/counter top fans to help keep the place cooled. Ready for fall & winter.

My hubby likes to set the a/c around 64 when we are at hotels (which I think is stupid). I have to bring my long-johns when we travel.

A/C 72, Heat 68, Vacation 76-77.

We get these stupid arse statements comparing us to our neighbors. We’ve got the biggest house in just about a mile each way. We knew their stats were and are bullshite when they started comparing our house to “100 similar sized homes within 0.5 miles”. We’re always near the bottom of that ranking. Usually one kid takes over the family room playing video games on the 52” TV, the other plays Xbox in his room on a 32”, my wife usually goes to watch her E reality crap in the bedroom, and I probably use as much energy in my man cave as a small house uses. If we tried to put the thermostat at 78 this room would jump up to 85-90. No thanks.

I’d tell the electric company to go to hell if I got a notice like that. I don’t give a shite if it means a penguin have to swim a bit further for an ice pad.

Next month I’ll write Entergy and ask them to put a ceiling on their billing for my account. I haven’t budgeted more than about $30 for electricity, so I’ll appreciate their voluntary compliance.

I know y'all love Entergy, but I enjoy having electric deregulation in TX. I can shop around for the best rate. My August bill for a 3900 sq ft home was $150.28. Temp set at 74 day time and 73 at night.

You don't have to pay for each hurricane that comes to the state and pay for Entergy shoddy work. If you don't like your carrier you simply just shop around.

Entergy can shove it up their arse. WE pay THEM. Why should the consumer have to sacrifice a utility just because they can't handle the load. Maybe they should fix their issue. I know I'm sure as hell not going to sacrifice my air conditioning just to help some company out that wouldn't give me a break if the opposite was needed. That company only cares about itself, not the customers best interest.

CEO and manager pay will remain the same during this time. Thank you for your help.

Looks like here in Louisville, KY we're part of MISO.

I can't remember anytime in recent memory they've asked us to limit power use here.
