He won't if he buys his fiance anything less than 1.2 karats. The sisters compete. So, if he buys his fiance a 2 karat diamond ring, the twin sister will feel insecure/defeated in regards to her twin so she has to frick her sister's husband (the OP) to even the scales.

Don't buy a ring from a store. Buy it from a private seller. Much cheaper and can get you exactly what you want. Good luck and congrats!
