Congrats! How long will your ring take? When are y’all planning to get married?
A jeweler I follow on Etsy had a similar ring a while back. The moissy is obnoxiously big, but the style is close: LINK

Not for the same reasons as used cars.
A loose diamond taken from a used ring is indistinguishable from a loose diamond from a jewler, all else being equal.

Used wedding rings don’t sell well
That’s why jewelers remove the diamond/diamonds, melt the gold, and make a new ring. You might be wearing used diamonds and will never know it.

I would think $10-15k is a decent amount today.

They are indeed rare, but they're out there. My wife is the same way. Her SIL has a 2 ct. emerald cut...while everyone else was raving over it, my wife thought it was entirely too much.

If a woman cant accept what you can afford screw her you dont need her. A ring dont make a marriage

If you buy a quality ring you can afford and your prospective Mrs takes issue with how big it is or how much it cost, then you should consider it a blessing you found out before she can take half your shite too.

The diamond trade is ridiculous. You get a “perfect” stone that is lab created. I would much rather have a clear lab created stone versus a flawed diamond. Chemically they’re the same thing. But really, I hate to dig on other women, but it’s ridiculous how they’ll “ring shame” other women who have a smaller, less flashy ring. If you truly love someone that ring shouldn’t matter at all.

Diamonds are the second biggest scam in history behind weddings...
Fk Debeers, I mean fk them.
But I heard they are giving away their synthetic diamonds trying to kill the market.
