What a cynical and sad perspective.
It's a good time for many people.
You don't need to shite on it because you don't partake in it.

can vouch for him as to the rolling coolers at least. Drove by last night and saw several going in.

I mean it’s pretty much the most efficient way to get the DP and Pappy to the tables.

That's the extravaganza for sure. The Coronation Ball is a little different

Still hungover. Glad Mardi Gras is happening this year. Who else was there?

Mardi Gras is a big "IF" this year. Plenty of time for Destroya to cancel.

If she does. All krewes should move to Jeff Parish. Sure Metairie sucks, but it'd be worth it to give the big frick you to that count of a Mayor

Oh I was stirring the pot, but I don't put it past her. . They should have moved all the parades to Jefferson last year. If that happens this year, they NEED to move to Jeff Parish.

Agreed on one level, there are folks involved that I’m not proud to fraternize with. But there is also a good bit of business that gets done there through connections, and a few true friends that I would not have met otherwise. To summarize, outsiders don’t precisely know what they can’t know if they’ve never experienced participating in Carnival organizations. There’s a slight parallel to Greek life in college.

RIP in peace to the best route of Mardi Gras.

I'm not even sure how to approach my throws this year, since I normally see so many friends and unload so much before even reaching Napoleon.
