If Emory University students got their way, end-of-semester course evaluations would ask them to indicate whether their professors had committed “microaggressions” against them.

The explicit goal of such a question on evaluations would be to punish professors who engaged in speech that offended students. According to student-protesters, as reported by The Emory Wheel:

Not being able to get a permanent university teaching job earlier in my life as turned out to be a great thing.

"A handful of student protestors want..." should be the title.

Or, if we've allowed it to go this far and the progressive professors have capitulated, the headline should be, "Dr. Frankenstein devoured by his own creation, Frankenstein's Monster!"

What does this even mean? You what would prevent this, no diversity. If everyone was just the same...so, therefore, we should end all diversity as it is now proven to be a weakness.

The term "microagressions" makes me cringe and I'm not really even sure I know what it means.

I live half a mile from campus. I may have to go do some good troll work on a lazy morning and end up in the paper.

It wasn't that long ago that Emory had anthropology professor Carol Worthman gracing its halls and students flitting about the quad in afro wigs and blackface.

Maybe these little bitches should stop being little bitches and count their blessings that this ain't the wild wild macroaggression west of 2003.

quote:

An Emory University professor's public use of the "n" word in September and a "blackface" incident last week have sparked controversy at the school that three years ago underwent a "Year of Reconciliation" on race and diversity issues.

Anthropology Professor Carol Worthman used the phrase "like six n!&&38s in a woodpile" at a Sept. 15 panel, according to a complaint that assistant professor Tracy Rone filed three days later with the university's Equal Opportunity Programs office.

I am strongly in favor of it. Let Emory and the rest of the hotbeds of Progressive ideology begin to suffer the consequences of their own actions.

I'm guessing I know what you're saying and people wouldn't understand. I don't want to insult a broader group by comparing them to the Emory version.

Seems like this is going on at all types of colleges, not just liberal arts schools.
