Elon Musk thinks Tesla is victim of sabotage

Tesla CEO Elon Musk sent an email to all employees on Monday morning about a factory fire, and seemed to reference possible sabotage.
Now, CNBC has learned that Musk also sent an e-mail to all employees at Tesla late on Sunday night alleging that he has discovered a saboteur in the company's ranks.

Tesla is in the midst of sweeping layoffs and a profitability drive. It is also under pressure to produce 5,000 Model 3s per week by the end of this quarter.

In 2016, after a SpaceX rocket exploded while being fueled up before an engine test, Musk and SpaceX COO and President Gwynne Shotwell also looked into the possibility of sabotage.
One of Musk’s other companies will be building a high speed Express transit between downtown Chicago and O’Hare. I’m expecting a “big dig” sized debacle.

Years of abusing cocaine has consequences, I guess.

Is this guy coming unraveled?
It certainly seems his luster has diminished.

I think Musk is a dreamer and a visionary, but perhaps not an ideal leader for a company with real competition in the marketplace.
Tesla isn’t the only game in town anymore. It’s no longer a cutting edge start up in an emerging industry. It needs new management.

If you want to see real over valuation of a company — look at docusign, carbon black, etc
Multiples are based off sales and not earnings.. crazy

I think it's time for Musk to turn over the company. Him running the whole company works for a company like SpaceX that makes one off engineered solutions for customers while continually improving the product line. His strength is in ideas and making the impossible happen. Is he a fit to run SpaceX? Sure. The Boring Company? Alright. Tesla? Not so much.
He fails miserably at running a large volume consumer product driven company. He needs to stick to the 30,000 foot strategic view and let the professionals run the day to day tactical operations of a company like Tesla if it's going to live. His style of continually adding features and upgrading the product while schedules slip and quality is questionable just doesn't work for a company like Tesla. No matter what Musk wants it to be, at this point in its evolution Tesla has become, at its core, a company built around a product assembly line that needs to crank out product, and a lot of it. It needs some time and stability to iron out kinks and it needs to deliver on products when it says it will. The visionary days are in its past and Musk just needs to let Tesla succeed without him and move on to other visionary things he wants to do.

I would like Tesla if Elon musk wasn’t a soy boy

I agree with TigerstuckinMS in the post above. He’s a creative genius that appears to struggle with non visionary organization and tasks, like the volume required to make Tesla profitable.
PayPal, SpaceX, idea of Tesla are all incredible. Day to day, mundane management does not necessarily appear to be his strength.

The battery factory is where the true potential is for Tesla...the cars have always seemed like a cash grab to me.

Yep, this dude could punch a baby on live TV and TSLA share price would still go up.

Musk can stay the ceo and make broad decisions, however it should be ran by a president that has a better idea on how to run the company. Something tells me Musk is somewhat of an ego maniac and won't let that happen. You can list on one hand the number of visionaries that have made good long term ceos. But you have to look no further than the companies namesake to see the classic example of a visionary being horrible at running a company.
