Surprised this hasn’t been a bigger story on TD. This is the first I’ve heard of it.

Same reason people cared more about Derrick Todd Lee than Sean Vincent Gillis. One killed good, smart, upstanding women.. the other killed mostly drugged out prostitutes.

Yeh, when a drug addict dies doing drugs society isn’t going to care. Crude and crass? Sure, but that’s the way of the world. Obviously family will care greatly

fricking with a corpse should be a big deal in itself

Think this was another case of an overdose and the subsequent unlawful disposal of human remains.

Don’t get me wrong, a price has to be paid, but using the word murder when someone willingly injects poison into their body is a stretch.

Drugged and taken out of the casino. They did not know each other.

Unless she's lying, she's stating that he drugged her in the casino and took her out. We need more details, but she's implying here that he intentionally drugged her unsuspecting cousin. It's very easy to slip shite into peoples' drinks.

But yeah, we need more details before jumping to your conclusions.

I hate it happened, but it's her own fault. She left the casino with him voluntarily. She was looking to get some dong and drugs and it cost her her life.

That said, he is obviously a POS and should be in prison. I am not sure how you are able to have sex with a drugged up woman, dump her naked body and just walk free. I hope some "street justice" is administered.

Where are you getting these details from? Are you guessing, or is there something you read that you can link to?

She is being an emotional family member

There is casino surveillance showing them hanging out and then leaving together.

Arrest documents revealed that detectives received information that Peebles had been at a local casino and was possibly seen leaving with an unknown male. Detectives obtained video surveillance footage from the casino and confirmed that Matthews and Peebles left the casino together at approximately 2:34 a.m.

The casino surveillance footage showed Matthews and Peebles leave the casino property in the silver Malibu. Detectives say Matthews was wearing the same clothing on the video-surveillance footage that he was wearing when he was taken into custody.

You can walk in the bathroom with a drink and come out with it. At least at most casinos.

Unless the cameras show the moment they met, the entire time they talked, and her leaving coherently with him, without any breaks or pauses, it’s not out the realm of possibility to think he slipped her something.

You don’t think they did a toxicology report on her? They know exactly what she had in her system

They didn’t just choose to not charge a random 38 year old black guy Not like he is some power money family member

None of this contradicts the cousin saying she was drugged in the casino. IF that is the case, then none of this matters at all. A drugged person does not make rational decisions, and one that was unwittingly drugged is now a victim of everything that takes place from that very moment

This arrest document strictly says they see her leaving with him. None of that is in question here. Did she leave willingly of her own conscious decision, or did she do so due to his illegally drugging her? We need facts here before drawing any conclusions

And how would the cousin “know” she was drugged? Why would the cops and DA just say “frick it” and not charge him?

If it’s fentanyl or heroin in she system, that isn’t something you “drug someone” with. You don’t do a little fentanyl and stroll on out the casino

Completely irrelevant. The person you responded to made the distinct point that he could've drugged her unwittingly, which you continue to not answer and dodge around. I'm not saying you're wrong, but so far all I've seen is guess work by you with no supporting evidence

No supporting evidence?

The supporting evidence is there was a homicide investigation done and yet no charges filed.
