Not that you were responding to me, but being truthful is not being an arse. All the surgery and pronoun usage in the world are not going to make NWarty a real biological female like NWarty wanted growing up as a boy.

Those that say trans females are just as female as biological females like the mom that gave birth to them are lying and pandering.

If they want to check an “other” box or trans female/trans male boxes for gender on official and legal documents i wouldn’t necessarily oppose it (would need to update at their own expense in timely manner if switching occurs). I am opposed to mutilation especially publicly funded, hormonal treatment on kids stopping national puberty and development, and forced acceptance by law that its same as biology sex. It’s made worse when some switch back even if just temporarily stopping the fight against their biology to get pregnant like some trans males/biological females have done. Being female or male is more than gender role, name, and how they chose to look on outside. I can’t respect someone who wants me to lie and say otherwise to them.

No worries! I didn’t mind as it happens a good bit with people who know/knew me before I transitioned. Comes with the territory and I’ve been here on TD for a good while.

Btw, my sons still call me Dad, I’ve never asked them to call me anything other than that. That is their right.

and this is where you lose people like me. it's obviously just to be hip and really not all that important because when the uncool old white guys does it, it's cringe. when the blue-haired androgynist does it, well it's suddenly important again. if it's not important for everyone, then it's just not important.

here's the truth: the way that you see uncool white guy being "completely cringe" is the exact same way others see you when you do it--completely cringe.

you know how when people on the street hand you an unsolicited flyer, and the old joke is "here, YOU throw this away"? that's pronouns in a nutshell. it's very important to the person handing them out, and those are the only people it's important to. no one wants to try to remember that this person who obviously is a female wants to be called "him", and this person who obviously is a guy wants to be called "they". oh and if you don't remember, if you mess it up, you're crucified. rational people will just avoid it at all costs. it's too much bullshite. "here are my prounouns, YOU throw them away".
