Do we hear you correctly? You are saying that Piyush "Bobby" Jindal is a white supremacist?

I still can't understand why so many people are against this that don't even live in Baton Rouge. What in the hell does it matter.

They think it's racist and don't want to pay higher taxes. We live in the BR city limits btw.

Gov. might be trying to time the election where it does the least harm to his political prospects not necessarily block it

Nope. He wants to wait until October during a general election so the Democrat get out the vote machine is running at peak capacity.

A May election would bring out the pro-St. George voters in droves, but there wouldn’t be anything else on the ballot to inspire the rest of EBR parish to get out of the house that day.

Then the rest of EBR Parish is going to be surprised when they find out that it's not on their ballot.

Only a ignorant person would think like that. I don't care where this was, but if a people in a area want to form their own city, why not? They are the ones that will be funding it. North Baton Rouge should break off and form their own city. They can have their own Police and Fire dept and make their own laws to live how they like.

Would that be the time to spread the “rumor” that poll workers were giving people the wrong ballots?

Well only people who live in the proposed St. George can vote on this so the rest of EBR doesn't matter. A May election doesn't allow for as much slander/spin time for the likes of TBR and Broome stick

Vote JBE out this fall and send his arse back to Amite where he belongs.

frick all the “republican” sky screamers that shite on a solid conservative and voted for JBE.

I jope they learned a very important lesson and that’s as follows.....

Winners make policy.

Losers go home.

You nailed it. They don't like BR cops. They don't like following the law. They should secede from the city.

I agree. It’s a terrible name for the city. That’s why I’m circulating the petition to call the new city MAGAritaville.

I don't doubt a significant number of Republicans voted for Edwards, but it was the conservative Dems that crushed Vitter.

There are way more Dems in La. than Republicans. I'm guessing 60-40.

ETA Look it up.

Tons of Republicans voted for him. Blew my mind at the time and still does. Muh hookers.

Vitter May have run a terrible campaign that was lazy as well.

But that does not execuse Jay Dardenne and Scott Angelle going that far into the mud scorched earth against a front runner they had no hope of defeating.

And it worked too well as it caused a crackup in the unity for Louisiana’s conservatives coalition and Vitter had no hope of rebuilding that in time for the runoff.

The proposed St George area funds a lot of BRs expenditures yet doesn't see much ROI. BR doesn't want to lose their cash cow which is why they are fighting it. There's really no other reason to oppose it. I hope it passes although I live about a half mile from the proposed boundary.
