Is "culture" the new codeword for crime?
Posted on 3/19/17 at 1:00 pm to blueboxer1119
Wasn't Dutchtown High recently put on lock down after a gun battle on the street next to campus? It's coming your way. Friends moved to Raleigh, NC in part to get away from Baton Rouge "culture". Have had their house broken into and son's truck stolen since moving there. It's not just a BR problem.

There is no long term solution, especially in places like Baton Rouge, where the minority population and its voting strength is growing. As minorities elect mayors, judges, sheriffs, district attorneys, councilmen, representatives, etc. then the policies that created the problem will expand and worsen the problem. And don't talk about the hard-working honest minorities who are the worst victims, because on election day, 95% of them cast their votes exactly like the felons would if they were allowed at the polls.
This is absolutely the truth. ... The liberals have been extremely successful the past couple of decades in brainwashing minorities & students with their bullshite socialist/communist/dictatorial propaganda to further their self-serving agenda of making these people believe that being dependent on the government, which will take care of them all since they are "entitled" to that, is the way to go, and that whites, republicans, law enforcement, or anyone who disagrees with their complete & utter incorrect bullshite is racist, homophobic, xenophobic, etc, etc, etc. They have effectively halted even the intelligent members of this group from thinking for themselves or even being open to hearing why the liberal agenda is so dangerous & that they are simply being used to further the liberals' quest for dictatorial power. Therefore, it makes no difference if the person in the voting booth is a thug piece of shite or an educated upstanding citizen; if they have bought into this liberal ideology that law enforcement, whites, conservatives, republicans, etc are the devil & out to get them, the votes of "hard working minorities" & thug pieces of shite will be the same. Until the public education system is completely re-vamped & taken away from the liberals who fill students' heads with inaccuracies, misinformation, disinformation, & pure propagandized bullshite to further their agenda, and until there is some sort of anti-venom to counter the poisonous damage of the liberal kool-aid these people have been guzzling for quite some time to enable them to think logically, reasonably, responsibly, and to just think, period, things will not change except for the worse.

This man is correct. HUD insured mortgage does not equate to section 8. Two totally different federal programs. There's a ton of apartment complexes in BR and surrounding areas that have HUD insured mortgages and have market rate units. Some uniformed comments in this thread.

Someone said it's turning Jackson, Ms., that's a pretty good assessment.

Says who?
How much does it cost us to have criminals on the street? No one ever asks this question or provides an estimate of what it costs.

Abortions and birth control is the solution.

Not sure if posted yet or not but apparently the name of the sheriff that was killed is Shawn Anderson. He delivered a baby on the side of the road last year.

But we're allowing a conservative christian element to restrict abortion access in the most needy areas, when we should be giving credits and grants to people who have abortions that should not be raising children.

We are already giving credits and grants to people that shouldnt be raising children. It's like an incentive for them to have more children. The more kids they have the more money the government gives them, straight out of our pockets. Then we pay for them to sit in jail. It's a vicious cycle

Maybe so, but Baton Rouge has turned into Baghdad, so I'll take my infrastructure issue rather than a bullet.
While BR certainly has its issues, that's utter drama horseshite. All credibility toward solving the problems is lost when making statements like that.

RIP to the fallen officer. Prayers for the family. Have a grand-daughter and daughter in law in Baton Rouge. Have offered to move her. Really wish she would leave.

I'm arguing just the opposite. Instead of incentivizing people that shouldn't have children to have children, give them money for having abortions. Curtail the growth of undesirables.
What's worse, paying someone a few thousand bucks to abort a baby they don't need, or the state paying to raise and inevitably bury or incarcerate that child in 20 years?

You're asking these people to make rational decisions.
You'll still have women having babies for welfare, and getting pregnant for paid abortions. It will be a money pit
